very well explained, you managed to explain to me and keep embedded in my mind what my computer science teacher has been trying to teach me for a bit over 2 months now. I appreciate your generosity!

=VLOOKUP(B4,'Inventory'!C4:C9,1,FALSE) just returns a N/A, when there are contents in all of the cells. i tried naming the range too and replaced 'Inventory'!:C4:C9 with that. no luck. it's on another sheet in the same excel file.

Good video and explanation. Once question though.. after doing the lookup, how would you get it to return the values of Received Payment and Amount, instead of just what's in Received Payment?

OK the formula worked. Now when i tried to copy the information i found using Vlookup to another spreadsheet. I received errors. How can i prevent the errors and paste the data on another spread sheet.

how do I copy the last value of a dynamic table column to the next column? I thought I'd give it a try with vlookup, but now I think that might not work.

I am so glad I found this video, thank you very much! I will be starting a new job which requires me to do a whole lot of excel report; I am okay with excel just the basic; but, this tutorial will definitely help me become better at it. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your knowledge and for making it easier for people who are not well versed with Excel to understand the steps.

Nice and Basic tutorial. I was having difficulty with the 'IFERROR' function where after performing the syntax, the actual formula was just displaying in the cell – So like, in cell E2 it was just displaying as =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(D2,Paid,1,FALSE),"Collect") & not actually stating the individuals name or "Collect". But when I typed out the syntax longhand instead of using the insert function to add the IFERROR it then worked for me. Thanks!

Thanks for the great tutorial! I'm having a problem at time stamp 5:25 with "cleaning up" the #n/a message. Once I copy the formula, how do I get the Insert Function window to pop up? I pressed "enter", and that didn't work. I pressed the formula builder, and it replaced my VLOOKUP formula…

This was extremely helpful, thank you!
